Besides the physical size differences between the (3) Main Types of Network Cabling, CAT5 is a Basic 24 Gauge Cable giving Basic Data Bandwidth Communication, CAT6 is a Thicker Gauge of Copper Network Cabling with Faster Data Bandwidth Communication and CAT7 has one of the Fastest Data Bandwidth Rates of Communication available in the market.
Depending on the amount of Networkable Devices, such as PC's, Laptops, Printers, Faxes, IP Phones, DVR's or NVR's that are on your Network, will determine if you need at least One Network Switch, One Patch Panel or Multiple Patch Panels. Every system is different and custom to the needs of the organization.
Yes, even the most basic Network will need at least a Basic 10/100 Network Switch or more preferably a Gigabit Network Switch with the capability of Faster Data Bandwidth Communications!
